It is compatible with TUNZE Singlecontroller 7091 and Wavecontroller 7092, where it connects directly and detects ambient light levels. When darkness is detected, the sensor triggers a reduction in pump speed, simulating the gentler currents of nighttime reef environments.
This photocell functionality is built-in on TUNZE Multicontroller models 7095 and 7096, but with this standalone sensor, it can be easily added to other compatible models.
