MARSILEA CRINATA – Foreground Carpet Plant in 1-2-Grow! Cup
Marsilea crinata is a small aquatic fern native to Asia, highly valued for its resilience and ability to create dense, low carpets in the aquarium foreground. In nature, it often grows in rice fields and develops small, rounded leaves, typically under 0.5 cm wide. This species is particularly hardy, tolerating low light and high temperatures, although it thrives best in stable, well-lit conditions.
Grown in a sterile 1-2-Grow! cup by Tropica, Marsilea crinata is free from pests, pesticides, algae, and snails, making it completely safe for shrimp, fish, and other sensitive invertebrates. Once divided into small portions and planted into the substrate, it spreads through creeping runners and forms a compact, well-rooted carpet 1–3 cm in height. It is perfect for creating natural aquascapes in both open and closed tanks.
