Tropic Marin ELIMI-NP is a highly concentrated organic carbon solution designed to effectively reduce nitrate and phosphate levels in reef aquariums. It works by encouraging the assimilation of these nutrients into additional microbial biomass, resulting in improved nutrient balance and better water quality without harming corals, sponges, or invertebrates.
Maintaining ultra-low nutrient levels is essential for preventing algae overgrowth and promoting healthy coral coloration and growth. ELIMI-NP helps stabilize the nitrate-phosphate ratio, supporting microbial processes and enhancing coral vitality in SPS and LPS dominated systems.
Dosage instructions:
Start with 0.1 ml per 100 liters of aquarium water per day
Increase dosage by 0.1 ml every 2 weeks while monitoring livestock and nutrient levels
Dose directly into the pump flow for even distribution
Do not exceed 0.5 ml per 100 liters per day
Lower phosphate levels gradually to avoid stressing organisms
Maintain a nitrate-phosphate ratio below 10:1
If the ratio exceeds 10:1, it is recommended to use Tropic Marin NP-BACTO-BALANCE instead of ELIMI-NP for a more balanced nutrient control.
