ALKALINITY+ 1000g – High-Purity KH Powder Buffer for Marine Aquariums
Nyos ALKALINITY+ 1000g is a high-purity sodium bicarbonate powder designed to safely and effectively increase carbonate hardness (KH) in marine aquariums. A stable KH level is critical for pH stability, optimal coral calcification, and overall ionic balance in reef environments.
Ideal for advanced marine systems and high-demand reef tanks, ALKALINITY+ offers precise, flexible dosing thanks to its fine, highly soluble powder form. It can be used either as a pre-mixed liquid solution or for direct dosing into the sump or aquarium water.
Recommended usage:
Pre-mixed solution (recommended): Dissolve 160 g of ALKALINITY+ in 2000 ml of RO water. Dose 38 ml of this solution to raise KH by approximately 1°dKH in 100 liters of water.
Direct dosing: 30 g will raise KH by 1°dKH in 1000 liters. Mix with aquarium water or dose directly into the sump.
Regular testing of KH (at least twice weekly) is strongly advised to maintain levels in the ideal range (7–9 dKH) and avoid harmful fluctuations that could affect coral health and overall tank stability.
