NO2/NO3 PRO – Professional Test for Nitrite and Nitrate Measurement in Aquariums
NO2/NO3 PRO is a crucial test kit for monitoring nitrite (NO2⁻) and nitrate (NO3⁻) levels in aquarium water, key parameters for aquatic ecosystem health. Nitrites are an intermediate stage in the nitrification process, starting from ammonium (NH4⁺) and eventually converted into less toxic nitrates. High nitrite concentrations above 0.05 mg/l are especially harmful to freshwater fauna and common in cycling tanks or systems with ineffective nitrate filters.
Nitrates significantly affect water quality: high levels in marine aquariums can damage delicate coral growth, and in all aquariums promote excessive algae growth. Some reef tanks with extremely low nutrient conditions may experience nitrate deficiencies. Regular monitoring of nitrate levels is therefore essential.
Recommended levels:
Freshwater aquariums: nitrates below 50 mg/l
Marine aquariums: nitrates not exceeding 20 mg/l
Scleractinian coral care: nitrates below 10 mg/l (adjusted based on specific aquarium conditions)
Measurement range and accuracy of NO2/NO3 PRO:
Nitrites (NO2): 0 - 1.0 mg/l, accuracy ±0.002 mg/l
Nitrates (NO3): 0 - 20 mg/l, accuracy ±0.05 mg/l
Main features:
Precise measurement of nitrites and nitrates
Essential for aquarium water quality management
Helps prevent toxic conditions and algae blooms
Suitable for freshwater, marine, and reef aquariums
Suitable for professional and advanced hobbyist use
Why choose NO2/NO3 PRO:
NO2/NO3 PRO is an indispensable tool for accurate nitrite and nitrate monitoring, key to maintaining a healthy and balanced aquatic environment. This test enables timely intervention to correct imbalances and ensure optimal conditions for fish, corals, and invertebrates.
