ASKOLL TEST PO4 – Phosphate Test Kit for Freshwater and Marine Aquariums

ASKOLL TEST PO4 is a complete test kit designed to accurately measure phosphate (PO4) levels in both freshwater and marine aquariums. Excessive phosphate concentration is a primary cause of unwanted algae growth and a decline in water quality. Regular testing is essential to maintain a balanced and healthy aquatic environment.

Phosphates mainly originate from uneaten food, organic waste, decomposing plants or fish, and even untreated tap water. For freshwater tanks, PO4 levels should stay below 0.5 mg/L, while in marine tanks, they should remain under 0.1 mg/L. ASKOLL TEST PO4 provides reliable results using a dual-liquid reagent system and reactive powder for accurate detection.

Kit contents:
• 1 graduated test vial
• 1 x 10 ml PO4-1 reagent bottle
• 1 x 10 ml PO4-2 reagent bottle
• 1 container of phosphate test powder
• 1 dosing spoon
• 1 color comparison chart
• 1 instruction leaflet

Instructions for use:

  1. Rinse the vial thoroughly with the water sample.

  2. Fill the vial with 10 ml of water.

  3. Add 5 drops of PO4-1 reagent and shake.

  4. Add 5 drops of PO4-2 reagent and shake again.

  5. Add 2 spoonfuls of powder and shake thoroughly.

  6. Wait 10 minutes, then compare the resulting color with the provided chart to determine phosphate concentration.

Why choose ASKOLL TEST PO4:
An easy-to-use and accurate test kit for monitoring phosphate levels, essential for preventing algae issues and maintaining a healthy aquatic ecosystem. Ideal for both beginner and advanced aquarists.
