HYGROPHILA CORYMBOSA 'COMPACT' – Controlled Growth Aquarium Plant
Hygrophila corymbosa 'Compact' is a particularly compact and decorative variety of the classic Hygrophila corymbosa, ideal for adding a dense and orderly green touch to the middle section of the aquarium. Characterized by leaves attached directly to the petiole, this plant produces numerous lateral shoots that enhance its bushy and compact appearance.
Upon leaving the nursery, Hygrophila corymbosa 'Compact' displays dark brownish-green foliage. However, after adapting to the aquarium environment, the leaves transition to a pale green with a silvery-white underside, creating a very elegant visual effect. Under intense lighting, new leaves may develop reddish-brown hues, while under dimmer conditions, older leaves may deteriorate, naturally replaced by fresh lateral shoots.
Thanks to its controlled growth and compact shape, Hygrophila corymbosa 'Compact' is perfect for natural or aquascaped layouts that demand greater visual order. It is also ideal for smaller tanks or for those seeking easy-to-manage vegetation.
