In such setups, plant density, strong lighting, and CO₂ injection create an environment with high nutritional demands, but little to no contribution of nitrates and phosphates from livestock.
Unlike community tanks, where fish food adds plenty of nutrients, aquascaping tanks often lack essential macronutrients like nitrate (NO₃), phosphate (PO₄), potassium (K), and magnesium (Mg). Plant Care NPK replenishes these elements in biologically balanced proportions, ensuring efficient uptake without dangerous nutrient buildup or waste.
It is ideal for tanks with dense plant growth, high lighting (>1 W/L), CO₂ fertilization, 30–50% weekly water changes, and few or no fish, often populated instead by shrimp and snails. The result is lush plant growth, intense coloration, and long-lasting health.
