JBL Sansibar River 5 Kg is a fine natural sand substrate with soft river-inspired tones, ideal for freshwater aquariums, marine setups, and terrariums. Made from finely ground, non-colored granite and free from artificial substances, it offers a grain size of 0.2 to 0.6 mm, ensuring even distribution and excellent root stability for aquatic plants. Its high density prevents the buildup of sludge and organic debris, maintaining a clean and well-balanced substrate.
The smooth, rounded surface is gentle on the delicate barbels and mucous membranes of bottom-dwelling fish, making it suitable for shrimp, snails and other sensitive species. JBL Sansibar River’s natural, non-reflective color enhances the visual appeal of fish and plants, allowing them to display their full coloration in a harmonious aquatic setting.
For optimal plant growth, it is recommended to use JBL AquaBasis (6–8 cm layer) beneath the sand.
