Cryptocoryne lutea 'Hobbit' is a compact, dwarf variety of the popular Cryptocoryne lutea from Sri Lanka. Isolated in a greenhouse and lab-propagated for stability, this cultivar grows to just a few centimeters in height, making it perfect for nano tanks and foreground aquascapes. It has an exceptionally slow growth rate, reducing maintenance needs.
Under strong lighting, its leaves develop a rich brownish-purple hue, creating beautiful contrast against brighter green plants. Like other Cryptocoryne species, it propagates via runners, spreading gradually through the substrate.
