ROTALA ROTUNDIFOLIA SPEC. H’RA – Intense, Spreading Aquarium Plant from Central Vietnam

Rotala rotundifolia spec. H’ra is a stunning and colorful variety of the Rotala family, likely belonging to the diverse forms of R. rotundifolia. Originating from central Vietnam, this plant stands out for its spectacular color range, shifting from light orange to red and violet tones depending on lighting intensity and nutrient supply. Rotala H’ra grows quickly with an elegant, horizontal spreading habit similar to Rotala sp. ‘Green,’ and regular trimming creates dense, compact planting groups, making it perfect for the aquarium’s midground.

Ideal for dynamic and rich layouts, Rotala H’ra pairs beautifully with other Rotala varieties, creating eye-catching focal points. It thrives under medium to high light, at 22–28°C, with pH 5–8 and CO₂ levels of 20–30 mg/l to fully express its vivid coloration. Propagation is easy through head cuttings and side shoots, making it suitable for advanced beginners and expert aquarists alike.
