Modern Reef N+ is a high-purity liquid nitrogen supplement specifically designed to supply essential nitrogen to reef aquariums. Nitrogen is vital for healthy coral growth, zooxanthellae photosynthesis, and vibrant coloration. Unlike other nitrate boosters, N+ avoids undesirable side effects such as elevated sodium or potassium levels, making it ideal for low-nutrient reef systems.
N+ is especially suitable for Ultra Low Nutrient Systems (ULNS), where insufficient nitrogen can lead to pale coloration, poor growth, or stress in SPS and LPS corals. This formulation ensures a stable and balanced nitrate source, enhancing polyp extension, metabolic activity, and coloration without raising phosphate levels.
