NEO MEDIA SOFT M 1 Liter – Ultra-Porous Biological Filter Media for pH-Lowering Freshwater Aquariums
AQUARIO Neo Media SOFT M 1 Liter is a premium-grade biological filter media engineered to optimize filtration efficiency in low-pH or soft water aquariums. It offers a massive colonization surface of 3,200 m²/l, far exceeding standard media like rings (270 m²/l) or spheres (500 m²/l).
Its innovative split cylindrical structure features multi-sized pores ranging from 1,000 µm to 2 µm, which allow for deep water penetration and excellent oxygenation of nitrifying bacteria. These bacteria are essential for converting harmful ammonia and nitrites into safer compounds, maintaining healthy water conditions.
The soft variant is slightly acidic, helping to lower pH, making it especially suitable for South American biotopes, shrimp tanks, and sensitive aquatic plants. It is created through a five-step high-temperature process, which strengthens the internal structure and standardizes porosity for long-term performance.
Included in the pack are separately packaged nitrifying bacteria, which activate upon water contact, jumpstarting biological filtration and helping to establish a mature filter faster.
