Rinse thoroughly before use
Place in a fine mesh filter bag and position in high-flow area of the filter
One liter treats up to 4,000 liters (1,000 US gallons) for up to six months
Replace or regenerate when the media turns dark brown or black
Regeneration:
Soak in a 50% bleach solution for 24 hours
Rinse thoroughly and soak for 8 hours in a chlorine neutralizer solution (e.g. Seachem Prime)
For freshwater use: soak for 4 hours in a buffering solution (e.g. Seachem Discus Buffer)
Ready to reuse once its original color is restored
