HUMUPLUS 500g – Natural Clay-Based Nutrient Substrate for Planted Aquariums

HUMUPLUS 500g is a professional nutrient-rich bottom soil composed of selected types of clay, designed to promote strong and healthy root development in aquatic plants. Ideal as a base layer in planted aquariums, it enhances nutrient availability in the root zone and creates optimal chemical conditions for fertilizer absorption.

Thanks to its natural mineral composition, HUMUPLUS is especially suitable for demanding species such as Cryptocoryne, Heteranthera zosteraefolia, Aponogeton madagascariensis, Aponogeton ulvaceus, and Echinodorus tenellus. The clay components retain and gradually release nutrients, supporting long-term plant growth and improving overall ecosystem stability.

HUMUPLUS helps lower pH and Redox potential, creating ideal conditions for increased biological activity within the substrate. This promotes nutrient transformation and root assimilation, maximizing fertilization efficiency and enhancing plant health.

Used as a bottom layer beneath gravel or inert substrates, HUMUPLUS provides a rich and active foundation, ideal for aquascaping layouts and heavily planted freshwater aquariums. Its stable and long-lasting action makes it suitable for new setups and complete substrate renewals.
