D-D Spektrum 150 LED is a high-output LED lighting system specifically developed for marine and reef aquariums, designed to provide high light intensity, a balanced spectrum and comprehensive lighting control. The combination of Cree and Lumileds LEDs, wide-angle colour-blending optics and independently controlled channels provides optimal lighting conditions for coral growth, colour rendition and fluorescence.
The Spektrum 150 is designed for larger aquariums than the Spektrum 90 and can effectively illuminate an area of up to 80 x 80 cm for soft corals, LPS and SPS, while high-density SPS systems are supported over areas up to 60 x 60 cm. With a maximum power output of 152 W, it provides high-intensity lighting suitable for demanding coral species.
The optical system uses crystal-clear wide-angle lenses designed to provide even light distribution and homogeneous colour blending. The optics are recessed into the light body and surrounded by a raised anti-glare shade, reducing unwanted glare without compromising light spread.
The LED configuration consists of 62 high-quality LEDs distributed across 6 independently controllable channels, combining blue and royal blue light with white, UV and violet channels. This carefully selected configuration enhances coral fluorescence while maintaining strong colour rendition and high light output.
The light features active cooling through a thermostatically controlled fan and an aluminium heatsink with a large surface area for efficient heat dissipation. The electronics are protected by conformal coating and the housing is designed to provide splash resistance, making the Spektrum 150 suitable for the humid environment associated with marine aquariums.
Control is available through local wireless pairing or Wi-Fi using the D-D Spektrum app. The app allows users to program lighting schedules, control individual channels, create automatic and manual programmes, group multiple lights, save and load lighting presets, configure lunar cycles and manage the acclimation mode. Firmware updates can also be performed through the app.
