TAXIPHYLLUM BARBIERI – 1-2-Grow! Tropica Aquarium Moss, Ideal for Shrimp and Natural Aquascaping

Taxiphyllum barbieri, commonly known as Java Moss, is one of the most versatile and widely used aquarium mosses, native to Southeast Asia. Offered here in the sterile Tropica 1-2-Grow! format, it is cultivated under laboratory conditions and guaranteed free from pests, algae, snails, and pesticides, making it completely safe for sensitive shrimp and fish. Taxiphyllum barbieri grows steadily on all surfaces, easily attaching to driftwood, stones, and hardscape elements, making it perfect for aquascaping or hiding equipment within the aquarium.

This slow-growing moss reaches 3–10 cm in height and can form lush carpets or floating mats depending on trimming and placement. It can be attached using fishing line or aquarium glue and suits both traditional and modern aquascapes. It offers excellent cover for fry and small invertebrates and enhances the biological balance and oxygenation of the tank with its dense, vibrant green foliage.
