Ideal for the aquarium foreground, it forms compact, uniform groups when planted 2–4 cm apart. Under certain conditions, however, it can grow up to 50 cm tall, transitioning into a background plant. With proper management, it remains low and decorative, providing dense, natural coverage.
Occasionally, Sagittaria subulata produces flowering stems reaching the surface, with small white blossoms opening just above the water, adding a unique ornamental touch.
