ECHINODORUS OZELOT XL – Large Aquarium Plant with Red-Brown Spotted Leaves, Instant Visual Impact
Echinodorus 'Ozelot' XL is the extra-large version of the popular hybrid aquarium plant, created from the cross between Echinodorus schluteri 'Leopard' and Echinodorus 'Barthii'. Known for its mature size and striking appearance, this version offers an immediate visual impact in any aquascape. Its elliptical red-brown leaves are marked with intense black spots, visible even on young foliage and persistent under moderate lighting, unlike many other spotted varieties.
With a height of 20 to 50 cm and a rosette width up to 40 cm, the XL format is ideal for medium to large aquariums, serving as a dramatic background or centerpiece plant. Echinodorus 'Ozelot' XL is robust, well-established, and ready for instant use in layouts that require a bold and decorative focal point.
This variety is easy to care for and adapts well to a range of aquarium conditions. It thrives in nutrient-rich substrate or with root fertilizer capsules, but will also grow under simpler setups. CO₂ injection and good lighting enhance its coloration but are not essential. The XL version allows aquascapers to achieve a mature and balanced layout in a short time, making it ideal for both beginners and advanced hobbyists.
