ROTALA WALLICHII – Delicate Red Stem Plant for Foreground and Nano Aquascapes

Rotala wallichii is a fine-leaved stem plant from Southeast Asia, admired for its feathery texture and beautiful reddish coloration under high light. Growing to 10–30 cm in height and around 5 cm in width, it's perfect for the foreground or as a striking feature in nano and medium-sized aquariums.

To achieve the best decorative effect, plant it in tight groups. Its soft, airy appearance pairs well with broader-leaved species. Rotala wallichii thrives in slightly acidic water and responds positively to CO₂ supplementation, which greatly enhances its growth and color vibrancy.

Main features

  • Feather-like foliage with intense red tones under strong light

  • Compact and elegant, ideal for small tanks and foreground planting

  • Thrives with added CO₂ and soft, acidic water

  • Easy to trim and shape

  • Enhances aquascapes with visual lightness and color contrast

Instructions for use (1-2-Grow! format)

  • Carefully remove the plant from the in vitro cup

  • Rinse off the nutrient gel under running water

  • Divide into 6–8 portions using sharp scissors

  • Plant each portion into the substrate using tweezers

  • Provide strong lighting and CO₂ for best growth and coloration
