DISKUSZUCHT STENDKER COLOUR FROZEN PASTE 100g – Professional Color-Enhancing Food for Discus Fish
STENDKER COLOUR 100g is a frozen paste specifically developed to enhance the natural coloration of Discus fish. With over 47 years of use in the STENDKER breeding facility, this food provides a complete and balanced diet and is also enjoyed by many other ornamental fish species.
This color-enhancing blend is designed to promote balanced growth, strengthen the immune system, and intensify pigmentation, thanks to its selection of premium and easily digestible ingredients. Regular use of STENDKER COLOUR stimulates vibrant colors and boosts fish vitality.
Feeding Instructions:
Feed 3 times daily:
Morning: 1 hour after lights on
Midday: ideally at the same time
Evening: 2 hours before lights off
Discus quickly get used to regular feeding times and will eagerly await their meals. Hand feeding is possible, provided hands are clean and free from creams or soaps.
Recommended Dosage:
For 10 Discus measuring 6.5 – 12 cm: ½ – 1 blister (2.5 – 5g) per meal, 7.5 – 15g per day
For 10 Discus measuring 12 – 18 cm: 1 – 1½ blister (5 – 7.5g) per meal, 15 – 22.5g per day
Important Notes:
Always fully defrost the paste before feeding (preferably overnight in the fridge)
Feed only the amount that can be consumed in about 5 minutes
Avoid overfeeding as uneaten food may pollute the water
Discus have a poor sense of satiety, so avoid excessive feeding
Frozen food may cause swim bladder inflammation or digestive issues if not properly thawed
To ensure equal access to food, especially in tanks with multiple fish, it is recommended to feed at 2–3 locations in the tank. If feeding 3 times a day is not possible, feeding morning and evening is acceptable as long as the total daily amount remains the same. For Discus under 8 cm, 3 daily meals are strongly advised to ensure proper growth.
