STENDKER Spirulina 100g is a complete frozen food for discus fish, enriched with spirulina to support health, digestion, growth, and coloration. Developed and tested over 47 years in STENDKER’s professional breeding program, it is a premium food also suitable for other ornamental fish species.
The natural spirulina content boosts immunity, enhances color, and provides essential nutrients for overall vitality. Daily use ensures vibrant, active fish with healthy development.
Feeding Instructions:
Feed 3 times a day:
Morning: about 1 hour after lights on
Midday: ideally at the same time each day
Evening: about 2 hours before lights off
Discus quickly adapt to this feeding schedule and eagerly await their meals. Hand feeding is possible, provided hands are clean and free of any residues.
Recommended Dosage:
For 10 discus 6.5 – 12 cm: ½ – 1 blister (2.5 – 5g) per meal, 7.5 – 15g per day
For 10 discus 12 – 18 cm: 1 – 1½ blister (5 – 7.5g) per meal, 15 – 22.5g per day
Important Guidelines:
Always defrost the food completely before use, ideally overnight in the fridge
Feed only what your fish can consume in around 5 minutes
Avoid overfeeding to maintain optimal water quality
Discus lack a strong sense of fullness, so overfeeding may lead to excessive intake
Feeding frozen food without thawing may result in swim bladder inflammation or intestinal issues. Distribute food in 2–3 feeding spots to ensure all fish, including less dominant ones, receive their share.
If feeding 3 times daily is not possible, 2 meals (morning and evening) are sufficient as long as the total daily amount remains unchanged. For smaller discus (under 8 cm), 3 meals are recommended to support healthy growth.
