CupriSorb 100ml by Seachem is a high-capacity chelating resin engineered for the selective and rapid removal of copper and heavy metals from both freshwater and marine aquariums. Unlike simple ion-exchange resins, CupriSorb effectively targets all forms of copper, including chelated types, offering unmatched performance and safety for delicate reef environments and invertebrates.
CupriSorb works faster than activated carbon, removing up to 7,500 mg (12 ppm) of copper per 250 ml in 600 liters of water. The 100 ml size is ideal for smaller aquariums or spot treatments in tanks exposed to past copper treatments or contamination.
When used continuously, CupriSorb also extracts copper leached from substrates, gradually detoxifying the entire system. Once exhausted, indicated by a deep blue-black coloration, the resin can be regenerated indefinitely, making it economical and environmentally sustainable.

Usage instructions:
Use 250 ml per 600 L to remove up to 7,500 mg of copper. For 100 ml, treat approximately 240 liters. Place CupriSorb in a high-flow area such as a filter or media reactor. Leave in place at least 2 weeks after copper tests show zero.
Regeneration:
Soak in a non-metallic container with 2 cups water and ½ cup muriatic acid for 1 hour, then rinse thoroughly. Repeat until original color returns. Neutralize with baking soda, wait until bubbling stops, and rinse again.
