BIO SAND 7.5 Kg by Aquaforest is a high-quality natural white sand enriched with calcium carbonate, designed to stabilize water chemistry and accelerate biological maturation in marine aquariums. Its optimal grain size of 0.5–1.5 mm promotes bacterial colonization and offers an ideal substrate for establishing a healthy aquarium base.
The package includes two bottles of nitrifying bacteria and specialized nutrient, which when activated create a fast-start nitrogen cycle, allowing for earlier livestock introduction. This advanced formula helps eliminate toxic ammonia and nitrites, significantly shortening startup time compared to traditional substrates.
AF Bio Sand is easy to apply and is also effective in mature tanks, serving as a biological booster to existing substrates. Its pure, contaminant-free composition maintains crystal-clear water and creates optimal living conditions for sensitive marine species.
Instructions for use:
• Rinse the sand with RO water to remove dust
• Pour both included bottles into 3 liters of saltwater, mix, and pour into the sand bag
• Let the mixture sit for 24 hours at 25–28 °C with the bag open
• After 24 hours, the sand is ready for use in the aquarium
