JBL Sansibar White 5 Kg is a fine-grain, natural white sand substrate, free from dyes and chemicals, designed for freshwater aquariums, marine tanks and terrariums. Made from finely ground granite with a grain size of 0.2 to 0.6 mm, it provides a dense, uniform base that supports strong plant root anchoring and prevents the accumulation of sludge and debris. The rounded, smooth particles are gentle on the delicate barbels and mucous membranes of bottom-dwelling fish, shrimp, and other invertebrates.
This sand does not alter water chemistry and is completely safe for all aquarium inhabitants. Its bright white color enhances the natural coloration of fish and plants by creating high contrast and a visually striking underwater scene. It also provides a comfortable, glare-free environment that encourages timid animals to display their natural behavior and colors. For optimal plant growth, it is recommended to apply a 6–8 cm layer of JBL AquaBasis beneath the sand.
