CRYPTOCORYNE LUTEA – Slow-Growing Foreground Aquarium Plant from Sri Lanka

Cryptocoryne lutea is a robust, low-maintenance aquatic plant native to Sri Lanka, ideal for the foreground in planted aquariums. With its rich dark green leaves and subtle veining, this Araceae family plant brings a touch of elegance and natural charm to any layout. Thanks to its compact growth and adaptability, it’s a great choice for both beginners and experienced aquascapers.

It propagates by runners, sending out new shoots a few centimeters from the mother plant. These can be left to create lush patches or trimmed back to control spread using scissors or aquascaping tools.

Cryptocoryne lutea thrives in a wide range of water parameters, tolerating both soft and hard water, as well as pH levels from 5 to 8. While it prefers bright lighting for optimal coloration, it can also do well under medium light.
