Cryptocoryne parva is the smallest species of its genus, native to the central highlands of Sri Lanka. With a compact growth habit and a height of just 5–10 cm, it is ideal for creating lush green carpets in the foreground, especially in nano and small aquariums.
In the wild, it forms dense colonies along fast-flowing rivers. It grows very slowly and requires stable conditions, medium to high lighting, and CO₂ supplementation to thrive. Thanks to its neat appearance and low profile, it’s perfect for detailed layouts and nature-style aquascapes.
