HYGROPHILA SP. 'TIGER' – In Vitro Fast-Growing Aquarium Plant with Striped Leaves for Background Use
Hygrophila sp. 'Tiger' is an easy-to-grow Asian aquatic plant, closely related to Hygrophila polysperma, but distinguished by its uniquely patterned leaves. The dark, striped veins on each leaf resemble the markings of a tiger, giving the plant its name and making it a visually striking addition to any planted tank. With a growth height of up to 40 cm, it's best suited for background placement where it can develop into lush, textured walls of foliage.
Grown in vitro and supplied in a sterile cup, this plant is free from snails, pests, and algae, making it perfectly safe for sensitive fish and shrimp. The high-quality gel medium ensures fast adaptation to aquarium conditions. It performs well under medium light and with moderate CO₂, maintaining both growth rate and leaf coloration.
