SALIFERT TEST SILICATE – Accurate Silicate Testing Kit for Freshwater, Marine and RO/DI Water Systems

Salifert Test Silicate is a highly sensitive test kit designed to detect silicate (SiO₂) levels in aquariums and purified water sources. Silicates are commonly found in tap water or in reverse osmosis (RO) and deionized (DI) water when filtration systems are not functioning correctly. Elevated silicate levels can lead to diatom blooms and interfere with essential trace elements like vanadium and molybdenum.

The Salifert Silicate Test Kit offers precise detection within a range of 0.03 to 30 ppm, making it suitable for both ultra-low and high concentration environments. With approximately 60 tests per kit, it is ideal for regular monitoring in reef tanks, freshwater systems, and RO/DI output.

In cases of high silicate levels, removal can be achieved using specialized phosphate removers such as Phosphate-Killer or Phosphate-Eliminator, which also have a high affinity for silicates.

Key features:

  • Measures dissolved silicates (SiO₂) in aquariums and RO/DI systems

  • Wide detection range: 0.03 to 30 ppm

  • Approx. 60 tests per kit for long-term use

  • Helps prevent diatom growth and water discoloration

  • Easy to use and highly accurate

  • Supports the availability of critical trace elements

  • Suitable for marine, freshwater, and purified water testing

  • Trusted by professional and hobbyist aquarists

Why choose Salifert Test Silicate:

Salifert Test Silicate provides a reliable and precise way to monitor silicate levels, protecting your aquarium from unwanted diatom outbreaks and ensuring the health of corals and invertebrates. An essential tool for any serious aquarist focused on maintaining perfect water chemistry.
