Seachem De*Nitrate 100ml is a high-porosity filtration media designed to effectively reduce nitrates, nitrites, and ammonia via anaerobic denitrification. Composed of porous inorganic granules (~4 mm), it resembles Seachem’s Matrix and serves as an excellent biological filter support.
Ideal for both freshwater and marine tanks, DeNitrate works best in low-flow environments (under 200 l/h) where anaerobic bacteria can colonize and break down nitrates without requiring a specialized denitrifying reactor. 1000 ml of DeNitrate treats up to 400 liters, making it a powerful and long-lasting solution.

Directions:
Place De*Nitrate in a low-flow area (max 200 l/h) of your filter. Rinse before use to remove dust. After several days, nitrate levels will stabilize and gradually decline to 4–5 mg/l. The media continues working as long as nitrate levels remain controlled.
