HEMIANTHUS GLOMERATUS – Bright Light Green Stem Plant for Aquarium Middleground
Hemianthus glomeratus is a delicate and charming aquarium plant native to the eastern coast of North America, where it naturally grows on rocky or muddy substrates at river mouths. This species is known for its loosely upright growth habit and its bright light green color, bringing a fresh and springlike appearance to the aquarium, perfect for creating natural and elegant contrasts.
The plant can reach heights of up to 30 cm, making it ideal for the aquarium middleground. With its moderate growth rate, it is easy to manage through simple pruning using sharp scissors. After trimming, Hemianthus glomeratus produces numerous lateral shoots, resulting in denser and more compact stems, enhancing the visual impact of the aquascape. It is particularly effective when paired with red-leaved plants such as Alternanthera, creating rich and vibrant color contrasts.
