BACOPA CAROLINIANA – Slow-Growing Plant, Ideal for Structured Backgrounds and Natural Layouts
Bacopa caroliniana is a secondary and tertiary stem plant with slow growth, native to North America. Known for its resilience and adaptability, it’s perfect for beginners and aquascapers who want orderly vegetation. Shoots grow up to 40 cm tall and branch easily from the base, creating dense and tidy groups.
It should be planted in small clusters in the background of the aquarium. Once removed from the in vitro cup, rinse the plant thoroughly under running water to remove the gel. Then divide into small 1–2 cm bunches and plant them a few centimeters apart. Over time, the plant will form a uniform green area.
Grown in vitro, Bacopa caroliniana is free of snails, parasites, and algae, making it suitable for shrimp tanks and sensitive livestock. It requires medium light, moderate CO2 supplementation, and minimal maintenance, making it a top choice for natural freshwater setups.
