BUCEPHALANDRA sp. 'KEDAGANG' – In Vitro Aquarium Plant with Long Grooved Dark Leaves
Bucephalandra sp. 'Kedagang' is a decorative epiphyte from Indonesia, known for its long, narrow, and slightly grooved dark green leaves. It grows slowly, mostly upright but can also lay down naturally, adapting to water flow. Its form makes it excellent for midground placement or natural-looking aquascapes.
Being an epiphyte, it must be attached to wood or stone, and the rhizome must remain above substrate to prevent rot. Its low light and CO₂ needs make it perfect for low-tech aquariums, shrimp tanks, or nano setups. It adds depth and structure without requiring intensive care.
This in vitro cultured plant is free from pests, algae, and snails, ensuring a clean and safe start for sensitive aquatic environments. The sterile gel supports fast adaptation to submerged life.
Main features:
• Long, grooved, dark green leaves with elegant texture
• Slow growth, max height 15 cm
• Flexible vertical or horizontal growth, ideal for midground
• Epiphyte – mount to hardscape, do not bury rhizome
• In vitro grown: pest-free, algae-free, safe for shrimp
• Excellent for natural layouts and low-maintenance tanks
• Perfect for beginners and advanced hobbyists alike
Planting instructions:
Remove from cup and rinse gel under water.
Divide into 1–2 cm clusters.
Attach to driftwood or stone using glue or thread.
Leave rhizome exposed, do not bury.
