LYSIMACHIA NUMMULARIA – Heart-Shaped Leaf Plant for Cooler Planted Aquariums
Lysimachia nummularia is a fast-growing, resilient European stem plant known for its heart-shaped green leaves and preference for cooler aquarium conditions. It grows compactly along the stem and makes an ideal midground plant in freshwater aquariums. With a vertical height of up to 45 cm and lateral spread exceeding 60 cm, it offers both height and structure to any aquascape.
This plant thrives under medium light and CO₂, but is adaptable to lower-tech setups. When grown emersed, it produces small yellow flowers in summer, adding decorative value. Its fast lateral growth requires regular trimming to maintain a tidy, compact appearance and encourage branching.
Grown in sterile in-vitro culture, Lysimachia nummularia is completely free from snails, algae and pests. The high-quality gel ensures quick adaptation in the aquarium. It’s also suitable for paludariums and setups featuring emersed sections.
