POGOSTEMON ERECTUS – Light-Green Stem Aquarium Plant for Background Placement

Pogostemon erectus is a light-green stem plant from India, renowned for its fine, needle-like leaves that create a distinctive and elegant look in aquariums. Growing up to 30 cm tall, it is ideal for the background (third plane) of the tank, where it forms dense, uniform clusters that enhance depth and visual appeal. To maintain a compact and tidy structure, regular pruning is recommended. Pogostemon erectus propagates easily by cutting the tops and replanting them in the substrate, quickly developing robust new clumps.

This plant is provided as an in vitro culture, grown in sterile high-quality gel: free of snails, pests, and algae, it’s safe for all aquarium inhabitants and quickly adapts to submerged life.

How to use:

  • Gently remove the plant from the cup

  • Thoroughly rinse off the gel under running water

  • Divide into small clumps (1-2 cm)

  • Plant closely in the substrate and watch it grow

Why choose Pogostemon erectus:

Pogostemon erectus is perfect for aquarists seeking a striking, structured background plant. With proper care and lighting, this plant becomes a standout feature in any aquarium.
