BUCEPHALANDRA sp. 'ROSSO MINI' – In Vitro Epiphyte with Shimmering Reddish Leaves for Foreground Aquascapes

Bucephalandra sp. 'Rosso Mini' is a rare, compact epiphyte from Indonesia, admired for its reddish-brown shimmering foliage. Growing slowly and vertically, it naturally branches to form dense, bushy clusters ideal for foreground or midground placement in aquascapes.

As an epiphyte, it must be attached to rocks or wood, with its rhizome left above the substrate to avoid rot. Its very slow growth, low lighting needs, and minimal CO₂ requirements make it an excellent choice for low-tech aquariums, shrimp tanks, or nano setups.

This plant is grown in vitro, ensuring it’s free from pests, snails, and algae. The sterile gel medium supports fast adaptation to submerged life and is safe for sensitive aquarium fauna.

Main features:
• Reddish-brown leaves with a subtle shimmer
• Compact, upright growth with natural branching
• Slow-growing, max height 10 cm
• Must be attached to wood or stone, do not bury rhizome
• Tolerates low to medium light, CO₂ optional
• In vitro: pest-free, algae-free, shrimp-safe
• Perfect for foreground in artistic aquascapes

Planting instructions:

  1. Carefully remove the plant from the cup.

  2. Rinse the gel thoroughly under running water.

  3. Divide into 1–2 cm clusters.

  4. Mount to wood or stone using glue or thread, keeping the rhizome exposed.

Why choose Bucephalandra sp. 'Rosso Mini':
Elegant, rare, and perfect for low-maintenance tanks. Adds a unique reddish hue and delicate texture to planted aquariums.
