Seachem Discus Buffer is a blend of salts and buffers designed to help recreate suitable water conditions for keeping Discus in aquariums. It helps lower and stabilise pH within a range of 5.8 to 6.8 while also helping to reduce general hardness (GH).

Its formula contains phosphate buffers and conditioning agents that help regulate pH and soften water by precipitating calcium and magnesium. It is particularly suitable for use with reverse osmosis (RO) water, which generally has no buffering capacity.

It can be used when preparing water for water changes or adding top-up water. Seachem Discus Trace is recommended alongside it to replenish trace elements.
