Echinodorus grisebachii 'Tropica' is a compact, low-growing variety ideal for the foreground of planted aquariums. Reaching just 5–10 cm in height, this miniature sword plant originated as a mutation cultivated in Asian nurseries. With its bright green, compact rosette and slow growth, it's perfect for elegant and precise aquascaping.
Unlike standard Echinodorus varieties, 'Tropica' requires higher lighting and adequate nutrition to thrive. Supplementing with CO₂ helps promote healthy leaf development. In Nano Cubes from 10 to 60 liters, a single plant makes a striking focal point, while in larger layouts, planting in groups creates an attractive contrast with taller, more flexible plants.
